Apple Finally Drops iPod Prices

Apple Drops iPod Prices: Old Models to Stay in Store, Shuffle to Be Axed?

I’m not very enamored with Apple products, and that probably comes with its astronomically high prices that I don’t exactly approve of. But recently, Apple announced that it will begin dropping its iPod prices.

The former $250 iPod Classic (250GB) is now $230; iPod Nano (8GB) former $150, now $130; iPod Nano (16GB) former $200, now $150; iPod Touch (8GB) former $230, now $190; iPod Touch (16GB) former $300, now $250; and iPod Touch (32GB) former $400, now $280.

What a drop in prices huh? This will probably send soaring Apple’s income from iPods Touch and Nano. Surprisingly, Apple also cut the latest released model–the 32GB iPod Touch. A $120-decrease in price is rather big, right? Rumor has it that Apple is planning to release something big in the coming days, hence, the drop in iPod prices.

And for those who are thinking of buying a Shuffle, think again. I think Apple is thinking of throwing the Shuffle out of the window… and the Classic may even come after that.
